A brief on ISIS social media strategies given at the NAT STRATCOM Center of Excellence annual conference. The conference was attended by roughly 800 senior military personnel as well as top European policy-makers. Also in attendance was late U.S. Senator John Mccain

In regards to terrorists’ goals and long-term plans, Shaheen, who has recently taken part in The Riga StratCom Dialogue: Perception Matters panel, said terrorists wish to prolong the war until the point western states start making mistakes. «For example, how much money does Da’esh need to spend in order to feed a single soldier? Only a few thousand dollars, because they don’t need to spend large amounts of money on weapons, armour, equipment, training or education.

 

NATO STRATCOM Centre of Excellence (2015)
Starting from 7th July, Joe Shaheen from the USA will join the NATO StratCom COE as a research fellow through the US State Department. Joseph Shaheen is a former engineer who earned his bachelor’s degree in Physics at the early age of 19. He has also earned two master’s degrees from Georgetown University, and is currently pursuing his doctoral studies in Computational Social Science.  He is considered a thought leader on issues of talent, social media, and social network analysis.

Your audience have to see your message every day so that your brand eventually sticks with them doing a one-time flashy posting and then not engaging them for another six months will not get you anywhere.

Job growth remained steady this month at 155,000 jobs created which is a little bit more than the average for the calendar year of 2012. I think the issue now is that the numbers did not grow enough for such a busy holiday season, and they did not grow where we expected them to grow. We have concerns about the damage from Sandy that continues to be a drag on the economies of the Mid-Atlantic States, and where the job growth in those states has been recently
